I just wanted to take the time to say that I bought something from Mike a short while ago (perhaps a month or a little over) and the transaction was smooth from start to finish considering the bulk of the items and shipping logistics. I can personally vouch for him as a result.

Mike, I was so busy during that time that I forgot to say thank you for all you've done. I hope you dont mind me leaving this post on your thread. GLWS for a great seller

Yeah, no problem. I am retrofitting Surround View onto my 2013 550. As a part of the Surround view process, you have to SWAP out the mirrors for a set with Surround view Cameras in them. Surround view camera side mirrors REQUIRE a different Carbon Fiber cover! lol Hence, my detail and disclaimer in the ad. There are a set with surround view and a set WITHOUT surround view.

Let me tell you, retrofitting side mirrors and running a brittle cable through the door harness connector is a 9 hour job, just did it this past weekend. Then I retrofit the front bumper cameras and run 4 cable back to different ECU and bimmer-tech will program it.

Anyway, that is why these are up for sale. And I will be putting my old mirrors with less that low miles on them up for sale as well (Heated, auto Dim, power fold). Also putting up my premium sound system speakers from my F10. Moved over to BAVAUDIO, but still a good set for someone with basic sound option.

...Mike

Actually the standard ones (ones he's selling) is $245+$95 for each side vs the camera version, nonetheless, his price is cheaper.

Yup, the standard ones are $345.00 a piece (On Sale $457.00 Each Regular), plus Shipping, so 2 X $345.00 is $690.00 and shipping is about $20 from site. So, as I said in the ad, $700.00 brand new on sale.

They charge an additional $95.00 A PIECE on the standard Carbon Fiber mirror covers as there is about 40% more carbon fiber material in them versus the Surround view version of the same cover.

There are in mint condition so what I am asking is a very fair price. Even more so when the sale is not going on actually.

What is the ebay listing number for this? I cant find it on ebay. Are these the FULL STANDARD mirror covers or the Surround View mirror caps? There is a 200-300 dollar difference between the two. Need to ensure the part numbers are correct (Standard Mirror cover is 51162167293 right and 51162167292). I just went on ebay and cant find anything in that price range for the Full Standard covers.

The Lowest priced ones I can find at 582 (500 range) are: http://www.ebay.com/itm/BMW-M-Perfor...1cf306&vxp=mtr which are DIFFERENT part numbers and for Surround view option, they will NOT fit your car. Which are the cheaper version.

List on these is $457.00 EACH!. So, $914.00 for the set normally.

Part number 51162167293 right and 51162167292 Left. Set part number is 51162167295
Genuine BMW F10/F07 M Performance Carbon Fiber Mirror Caps

I put pictures at the bottom of this to clear up the confusion about the 2 different versions, and thus, the 2 different prices for these OEM BMW mirror caps. The top pic is FULL coverage, the Lower one is the half size Surround View version.

You needs to ENSURE you have the right part numbers for these. The Surround View model of the mirror uses about 40% less carbon fiber and WILL NOT fit a standard mirror for the car. That is why there is a big price difference.

Thanks for the listing number, could not see it on your first screen shot. The part number for the mirrors IS NOT listed in that Ad, the proper part numbers are: Part number 51162167293 right and 51162167292 Left. At www.getbmwparts.com (http://www.getbmwparts.com/parts/ind...&siteid=214672) $365.60 each. I would contact that dealer and confirm what they are selling.

If you go to www.getbmwparts.com and look up Genuine BMW F10/F07 M Performance Carbon Fiber Mirror Caps 51162167295. They will list those covers for $279.00 PER mirror cover for a total of $558.00. BUT, when you choose the STANDARD, NON SURROUND view mirror option, they add on $86.00 PER mirror for a total cost of $730.00 plus shipping. Being that getbmwparts.com is pretty much the LOWEST price on ALL BMW parts on the web, I cant see another dealer selling for $200.00 less for the same item. Just doesn't happen normally.

Guess you can believe what every other price listing of every BMW dealer is on the web for full Standard covers are, or wait till October 11th to verify with this dealer. Since the part numbers are not listed, I will bet my bottom dollar they are listed the Half cut mirror covers as described above. No dealer is going to sell below their cost for a BMW product.

Let me know what you find out. But I am pretty sure you are being advertised the Half Cut, Surround view, lower priced version of these Standard full covers.

...Mike

FYI, Here is their Ebay Kelly BMW website which they are selling these mirror covers from: http://www.shopbmwusa.com/PRODUCT/38...NTERID=4661501 and the mirrors they have listed are the HALF mirror covers and listed for $700.00 part number 51162167294 and 51162167295. (Notice these part numbers are different from what I am selling, this is because they are only listing the lower model of the covers on their website)

Cross reference that part number with getbmwparts.com and you will see getbmwparts has THAT half mirror part number (51162167295) listed at $280.00 a piece http://www.getbmwparts.com/parts/ind...&siteid=214672.

Since the Columbus Kelly BMW dealership does NOT list the STANDARD mirror cover part number on their website, I again will bet their discounted price on ebay is NOT for the STANDARD cover as they only list the Half mirror on their website for sale. I would not really call it a bait and switch, they are just listing the base model option for the mirror set and are not listing the OPTIONAL higher end version of these mirror covers. In other words, you will be paying around $750.00 for a set of standard covers from Kelly BMW. Again, i possibly could be wrong, but there is literally no one on the web selling the Standard full covers OEM BMW carbon fiber mirror covers for less than the mid 700 range plus shipping, which means they would have to be selling them at below dealer cost... Something most dealers do not do.
