F10 550i electromechanical power steering help

Having issue with my steering. Every time drive and turn the wheel to left or right I hear a grabbing sound on the passenger side. It sounds like the brake pads is grabbing. I already changed wheel hub bearing assembly, brake pads and rotors and steering fluid (11s) noise still there!

Always a good idea to flush fluids on a regular basis.

I didn't saw often, I said regularly. I would follow BMW on the brake fluid. I would flush the trans and change the diff every 75Kish miles. I would do the coolant every 2 years. I would do the P/S fluid every 2 years also, if I had mechanical P/S.

Only the X-Drive (maybe the "D"?) has mechanical P/S. The RWDers have electric P/S.

When I reset my EPS via ISTA+ the sound went away and came back after reboot. Then when I am turning left and right while moving with little throttle the sound is more pronounce. Like the brake pads is grabbing.

my theory is that my EPS is about to get fkd. EPS is more to the right of the car and that's where I hear most of the noise coming form. specially when turning.

UPDATE! UPDATE! UPDATE! The shop mechanic says that it is my ARS... Hmmm. It make sense and after searching ARS it shows that it is an issue to some as well. Hope extended warranty will be able to cover it.

There is a TSB for the ARS need to have a bushing. Then the valve block got replaced as well. The EPS started to make noise and will be replacing it. Already ordered the parts.

How hard was it to change the wheel hub assembly?

If you don't mind me asking, where did you get the part? And did you order the EPS motor only?

I had the dealership do the TSB due to the extended warranty wont payout to replace the valve block if TSB is not complete. less than $200 to install the bushing. The EPS does not come separate. I had to order the whole system which is lessl than $3k after the core has been returned. Installation should be pretty straight forward coz it is electric and not hydraulic.
