ODB2 monitor readiness for 535D

I recently had the dealership update the software and the odb2 exhaust gas is still not ready. I drove for over 1,000 miles after the software update. How long or how many miles would it it take for obd2 to be ready for somg check? Is there a way to speed up the obd2 process? I'm driving 2016 535D. Thanks in advance.

If i recall correctly, you have to do a drive cycle. It Consists of different driving modes..one of them is driving 55 mph for like 3 mins stoping the car and idling for 2 mins, resume driving for 55 mph for another 3 or 5 mins (can't remember).since i live in the city, i did mine over night on a highway. the entire cycle cant be interrupted.
But you have to research this...most states allows you to have 1 "not ready" emission, well here in NY at least. I passed my emission with EvAP not ready.

Thanks, rahdigga165. I try searching online, but couldn't find the drive cycle information for diesel engine. Would you happen to have the link for the drive cycle information?

I did mine not too long ago and it's something like:

- cold start no revs and parked turn on everything max, defroster max electrical load for 2 mins

- begin driving and keep it under 3k rpm and under 45 or 55mph can't remember

- no extreme throttle movements for a few miles.

I did mine late at night on a stretch of highway and it set 90% of them

Thanks for the info, Bmw doubles. I was able to pass the smog test today.
