Pretty sure you need catless dp for burbles, I have no tune with catless and I get them from time to time already.

I just did a search and found an F30 N55 thread.

https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1579442

It looks like you can get burbles with stock dp, but it can potentially damage the dp and cause emission test issues if you're too aggressive with it. It looks like I'll need to play with the BM3 settings to get some occasional/mild burbles.

You probably need to change some settings around. By default burble only happen at a pretty narrow range. I'm pretty sure it also doesn't burble when the car isn't warmed up.

My maps -> click on your tune -> top right cog (Config) -> Exhaust burble type "Custom". Adjust to your hearts content. Do note that the bootmod3 website is also designed for touch screen use (why??) so in order to scroll up and down, you need to click and drag as if you're using your finger. Took me a while to figure that one out. As for damaging your cat, just don't make it super aggressive and you'll be fine. I'm on stock DP and I get burbles just fine, though I do have a Remus axleback but not sure if that'll make a huge difference compared to MPPK

A proper flash tune is going to be night and day compared to a JB4 or other piggyback tune.

Thanks for the directions! if you're ever on your BM3 again, could you take a screenshot of your burble settings?

and fully agree, this tune is a MUST considering how easy it is to perform and how much Pro Tuning Freaks are constantly updating their maps.

There's also a FREE transmission flash. So no need to buy xHP unless you trying to change shift points. The website itself is pretty versatile too. You can read code, clear codes, disable the fake engine noise, etc.

I've attached a screenshot of my personal settings. I'm not sure how safe or unsafe it is, it is just what I use. Use at your own risk lol

Edit: Attached photo of transmission tune location

LOL. That's literally the same settings as mine. I can only hear the burbles when my windows are down, but that's fine. I know the sound insulation on our cars is a little too good.

Fill up with E30 and flash the E30 tune, huge difference! I haven't put my DP on yet because the car needs to go in for maintenance. E30 is a sweet tune!

I've also flashed the TCU. Definitely notice the crisper shifts. This is such an amazing tool.
Same, I can only hear it with the windows up when it's quiet outside, my music is off, and I'm trying really hard to hear it. Can't hear it even with the windows down in comfort mode, which is actually what I want. In sport, once the windows are down, I can hear it pretty clearly. I actually prefer this because it lets me drive in peace around town without being constantly distracted by burbles

What mixture for e30? Is it safe to run without upgraded fuel system?

does The bm3 adjust is your e30 blend is off a bit? Also, does the bm3 adjust if your supporting mods aren’t sufficient enough for the tune you are running?

They are static maps... And description tells you what you need to have mods wise in order.to run that map. E30 map requires E30 but you can probably have e40 and be fine but lower than E30 might be an issue with timing.

They're off the shelf tunes. Nothing is adjusted. If you're looking for ones that adjust for your particular setup, you'll need a full custom tune.

If you don't have the suggested mods listed, you can run the map still. Just expect something to break quickly.

JB4 map 5 has an auto-tune option... but then it's a piggyback tune vs a true flash.

Tune purchased. Going with AMR performance tune. They are local to me and highly recommended. Hoping to have it done on Friday. Will update once it's done.

Tune done yesterday. Car feels amazing. Super responsive and pulls ridiculously hard. Power band is smooth and much improved. Very happy so far and customer service was phenomenal. I highly recommend. I need to find my go pro and will take some videos. Once I get my bolt ons I will have reflashed and dyno'd.

You need to buy a test kit for the E85 to see what it really is. Where I'm at, its
E70. Adjust accordingly. There are programs to tell you mixture. Search
