Hi everyone I'm really hoping someone can help me out or point me to the right thread for some much needed guidance. I have a 2012 528i X drive. and i wanted to ditch the nasty 17"s that the car came with and put on this set of 19" staggered 535 M sport package rims photos included. so i understand that with BMW X drive Systems there can only be a 1% difference in rotational speed or the traction control goes crazy and burns out the clutches. I bought then from a guy who was running them on a 2013 3 series x drive and had put 225/40/19s front and 255/35/19 Rear and assured me that he never had any issues. so i went on to tire rack got the recommended tires for a 2012 535 X drive m sport edition which are 245/40/19 front and 275/35/19 ream and i started to notice stuttering and hesitation while going through the gears. it kinda felt like a vaccum leak so i brought it to the dealer to get checked they stated that its the tires. spoke to tire rack they said it should in theory all should be fine but maybe get 245/35/19s for the front. just put those on sizes tires on the fronts and all hell is breaking loose the revs seem to be all messed up etc. someone please help me. is there a tire size that will fix my issue or is this just not meant to be

Run a set of square wheels and tires. Four front wheels and tires and put your worries to rest.

Stick with the stock sizes. I have read here all too often about transfer cases failing. I would search for symptoms of a failing/failed transfer case.
