21" RIM Folks , Need Advice on Sizing
Well, I finally got rid of my 20" cast concave rims.
I was thinking of going with some 22" Avant Garde or similar, but I'm going to go with the correct setup. I want to go with a 3 pc. forged set with the appropriate tires. Being here the short time that I have, I have seen some amazing pictures in various threads, especially in the modified wheel thread, but not much discussed about the sizes and offsets out tires among with the respective pictures. Can I ask all the folks with 21" rims, what their front and rear sizes are with the tires as well, and perhaps the offsets as I love how some just come right to the fender line. it is a 2013 MSport 535 & I plan to lower it with H&R springs real soon. if I'm going to have these made to my exact specs, might as well do it right. Thanks in advance for all the help. |

it depends what profile do you want. I see that you're in Cali, so the roads arent bad like our roads in NYC, so if you buy a staggered setup you can go with a 30 profile in the front and a 25 in the rear, well in NYC i'm going with a 35 or 40 profile all around because i'm buying a non-staggered setup.
I remember you sent me a private message regarding wheels i'm selling. since you're in Cali go down to Rennen and see my boy Weiz He is the owner and I can get you wheels at the price i get them for. Used sets are going for more than $3899 for a forged set of 21's so whay not just buy new for that price. if you google any Rennen/donz forged wheel price in just a 20'' wheel prices are starting a grand or more so imagine 21's from Rennen, DPE, ADV, HRE or any wheel company that makes forged wheels, you're looking @ paying close to $5 to 6$ G's for just a set of wheels that really don't cost that much to make. For example, Rennen Xtreme Concave step lip or hook lip wheels i Get them for $3899 flat for a set of 21's. You can take any forged wheel that you dont see in X-Concave and make it into a X-Concave or you can use any forged style and make it into anything you like you like, 1pc monoblock, 1pc monoblock X-concave 2pc Look (New 2013 type of wheel), 2pc reverse lip(new 2013 wheel), 2pc or 3pc x-concave hook or step lip. Springs: look at the threads comparing springs, H&R is not that good compared to ACS springs, so that is why im dropping my F10 on ACS's this spring. I had H&R's on my E60 and everyone complained of the horrible ride. Sorry I dont have a ACS connect. At the end of the day it's what you like and you're spending your hard earned $$$ The $$$ you will be saving you can use to performance parts or keep it in the bank. GLWS!! PS:If you got any questions regarding the wheels, just hit me up @ (718)791-5194 so i can answer your questions immediately. I hate PM's because I believe in talking live to a person because i'm real and i got nothing to hide. |

I just spoke to my boy @ Rennen, and yes you can have a 21x9F & 21x11 R set up. There is an F10 with that setup. look @ post #123

Its always better to get a 21X9 Front and 21X10.5 in the rear.
Trust me, you will be happier for the reason that if you have an 11 rim on the rear the tires will look way stretched, unless thats what you plan on doing More stretch = higher probability of rim damage |

Is this your current fitment with the MOOR MS10.2? I'd actually guess lower than ET40 on that setup.

MELLOWYELLOW06 - it really depends on what your goals for the car are. To get some serious concavity, a nice little tire poke, and some bragging rights (lol), 21x9" and 21x11" work great on the F10. Check out our MS10.2 on Lacster's car in 21x9" and 21x11" below. As much as I'd love to divulge the offsets, unfortunately we have to keep them confidential as this is pushing the F10 to the LIMIT. Slammed, 21x9" and 21x11" with extremely flush offsets and no rubbing
And for the more conservative at heart, here is 20x9" and 20x10.5" - Andy |
