BMW Code C9540A???

Carly app crashed during coding the SMFA module...prompting the Driver Restraint System Fault!!! The app is showing this code and it will not clear. I can't seem to find any details on this code either. Any help will be greatly appreciated. See the email I sent Carly below. Just happened tonight so no response from Carly yet.

I was coding with your bmw Carly and the app crashed while coding the SMFA module. I selected the module as usual, prompting the app to create a backup file. I selected "on" for the seat memory position confirmation and started the coding process. The app ran as usual for about 1-2 minutes and crashed. Upon the crash, I received the driver restraint system fault. I reopened the app and went to the coding dashboard and now the app says that "ECU cannot be assessed. Please restore this ECU." When I enter the restore process and select "choose previous backup" the app displays the backup that was created. I select the backup but when I select start, the app crashes again! Now my car is stuck with the Driver Restraint System Fault and cannot be cleared. I need your assistance to restore this module to the original settings.

Have you tried INPA to clear and reset the module ?

Thanks for the reply. I'm currently not setup for coding. I built the interface cable last year but couldn't get the software. Just been doing light coding with Carly since. Guess I need to research INPA coding.

You need to be talking to the makers of the app.
