Yes, this is true. Those who have their cars delivered to port earlier than that will have their cars held until then.

I can tell you I spoke to BMW today (here in Germany) and they confirmed 06-19-10 is US release date. I was told I can look though the glass at my beast at no extra charge

Not that it makes any difference since we can't do anything about it but does BMW have a specific reason (EPA, dealer issues, etc) for setting what appears to be an arbitrary official release date?

Sometimes the prep guys would wash the freshly painted stripes off the cars during the cosmoline removal process. Im sure they have a similar substance they are using now. |

Might have been a test drive he saw, My local dealer has a 535 and a 550 but just for test drives
I test drove the 535 they have on May 24th awesome ride cant wait for mine to get here. |
