Angel eyes are the nicest improvement by far. My only complaint is that the lower air intakes look way cleaner on the pre-lci model. I have to see it in person to make the final judgement.

The existing car looks like it's happy, the LCI looks like it's frowning.....

Pre-LCI is much better. The new bumper looks terrible. The silver trimmings next to the fogs look weird and like some cheap painted plastic. The lights look thinner and squinted. 45HP+ is nice.

Not sure why BMW feel the need to make new model bumpers more busier. Simple lines works best. Adding more curvy stuff does not make a bumper sexier.

Technically speaking, I love the added HP in the 550, much improvement.

I like this update despite owning a pre lci F10. The change is so subtle that most wont even be able to tell the difference. This car has the optional LED lights so the lights do look alot better but i suspect the normal xenon lights with the corona rings will be much more similar.

I want to see what they did to the tail lights and if theres any engine changes to the 535s

Hate to say it, but I agree.

They should have done something similar to the 7 series LCI LEDs

I like it. It's a little sharper. Also, I like the new LED headlights lately.

Surprise surprise, most negative comments are from current F10 owners... No one ever saw that coming...

This site is so predictable anymore...
________________________________

On topic: Yes, this LCI is very mild, part of the reason is because the F10 has done so well this far. EVERY car MFG does a life cycle impulse (LCI) to help boost sales (or help keep them strong) in the middle of a cars life cycle. Between the two bumpers, they look a lot a like, who cares; what is great to see here is the optional LED head lighting. If I'm not mistaken, PRE-LCI 5er owners might be able to upgrade to them, the shape looks unchanged (which is great news!) between Pre-LCI and LCI...

I still wonder why is it that only the 550 gets the power boost. Any plans for the 535?
That extra 45 was done via BMW tune so I would consider 55hp with the simple tune.

I agree. from a distance, its hard to tell what it is infront of you. the taillights are nearly identical. and if they made the headlights touch the grill, it would have been a bloated f30. I hate the random cutline coming from the top of the headlights towards the grill. I do however really like the headlights. Interested to see how the M-sport looks. ill reserve judgement on this until i see that.

Many thanks for this.
I can now see the difference at least. Not sure if an M5 would have the smaller front grills though.

Wow. I'd hate it if I had a pre-LCI 5 now. Makes the existing ones look really out of date.

Just like the 3-series, I see they've made it uglier. The pre-LCI F10 5 series was one of the best looking large sedans, before this change. Oh well.

I really dont think those minor changes are going to make the current F10 look out of date. In fact, I bet there will be some people who prefer the current F10 over the LCI.
