Replacing 4SK ZGW with a used 8SK ZGW
Hi all! I am doing retrofit to add Lane Changing Warning. After completing the installation and wiring, I connected esys to add 5AG to VO/FA, then initialized Flexray in ISTA. In ISTA, it successfully detedted SWW in red. However, in esys, it could not detect HC2. I realized that my car had a 4SK ZGW, does it mean I have to replace it with a 8SK ZGW? Do I need to code any other ECUs to make HC2 visible in esys? If I have to replace the ZGW, can anyone point me the procedure how to code a used ZGW to my car? My car already equipped with KAFAS2 and ACC. Thanks for help!

Hi all! Further to prepare replacement of ZGW with a used 8SK one, I searched in NewTIS and some forum discussion. According to NewTIS instruction, only initialization of FlexRay is required for replacing ZGW, no mention of flash or coding. However, in those forum discussion, everybody is talking about flashing ZGW as it is not codable. I know that ZGW does not have coding file CAFD, so it is not codable but only flashing if necessary. Just want to make sure that flashing ZGW is necessary to replacement of ZGW, or the NewTIS instruction is only applicable to new ZGW replacement, flashing is necessary for replacement of used ZGW. Thanks for help!
