523i F11 SLOW heating
I have a 2011 F11 523i 3.0. It is VERY slow to warm up, it takes at least 20 km before both cooling water and oil are at 90 - 100 gr. The oil temperature never gets above 95 gr. My mechanic has replaced both the thermostat and the oil heat exchanger with the small thermostat. It's still the same. The dampers in front of the radiator work as they should. They are closed until it warms up. If you come from driving on the motorway and onto a normal road, the oil temperature slowly drops to 80-90 degrees and the water temperature also drops. If I have turned off the cabin heating/ventilation completely, it has an easier time keeping the temperature.

Also interested as I have the same issue and car (F11 with N53) as the OP. Have also replaced the thermostat and pump. Any pointers would be appreciated. Thanks

Reply from workshop
Just had it at an authorized workshop. They found no faults and said it was normal for the F10 and F11 petrol engines to take 15 - 30 kilometres to warm up. It's hard to believe, though. I'm still very interested to hear how it looks for you other F10 /11 owners.
