Traffic Jam Assistant F10 (TJA) 5AR
Hello
My Car BMW F11 FCI 2016 with Kafas2, Active cruise control+Stop&Go function, Lane departure warning I bought recently HOD Emulator My SALAPA 1CA,1CB,1CC,1CD,230,255,2K1,2PA,2TB,2VB,302,316,38 6,3AC,3AG,423,430,431,456,488,494,4AT,4U2,502,508, 534,548,5AC,5AD,5AG,5AS,5DF,609,698,6AC,6AE,843,851,877,886,8KA,8S3,8TF,8TH,8 TL,8TN I Changed to 1CA,1CB,1CC,1CD,230,255,2K1,2PA,2TB,2VB,302,316,38 6,3AC,3AG,423,430,431,456,488,494,4AT,4U2,502,508, 534,548,5AC,5AD,5AG,5AR,5AT,609,698,6AC,6AE,843,851,877,886,8KA,8S3,8TF,8TH,8 TL,8TN When I Push TJA button (ACC Down), It shows that the system is activated. But after a while, it writes an error and turns it off, and the error after 2 sec disappears. It also does not work for me PPS (Pedestrian protection system). And SLI (SPEED LIMIT INFO) does not recognize signs. Maybe someone has Cheat sheet for F10 where PPS, SLI and TJA |

I was just looking at an older thread, and you might have messed up your FA coding a little bit. Even though 5AT is supposed to be 5AS+5DF, it seems it uses a different radar and so might not function properly. This would explain why you lost some features after removing the 5AS.
https://f10.5post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=846441 As for your TJA HOD emulator, despite what the internet says they are NOT all the same. I had one from Quidzel and it did exactly that on my F10 (worked for few seconds and threw an error). It was perfectly compatible with F15 and i3, but not F10/F11. I ended up with different module from marvel.marv and it worked without a hitch. All I did is added 5AR to my FA, no other changes (F10 LCI '15). EDIT: Here is some more information from the 2014 Model Update brochure. Depending on the original equipment of your car you may or may not be able to add 5AT

PPS and SLI not worked before coding.. Not after adding 5AT.
PS Lane Departure Warning started work after I change it to Sarah sarah_vollkonzept, I don't know what Sarah means... 😆 So you think hod Emulator not work with f10 series? |

I know some HOD emulators work with F10/F11 but not all of them. I never used the one you got.
Have you tried checking with the seller to see if they ever sold one to F10 customer? You can also try Google to find a thread on making your own TJA HOD emulator which is known to work on F10 - that's how I found mine. |

That's beyond my knowledge so I can't help you. The shift paddle error might mean you have a connection problem with the HOD TJA module (same harness), but the rest does not seem related.

TJA is supposed to only work under 37mph o highways and disengages after that speed. But some folks like to code jt to work at higher speed and on all roads which shows up as test operation mode with the error. |

Folks, I've done this retrofit, I've just been too busy to check here but this isn't as hard as it seems. One thing to keep in mind is this is only possible with LCI components (LCI Radar and LCI ICM 5.4). Similarly, ICM, ACC, KOMBI, NBT, SZL all need to be coded. Of course your car also has to have a full/complete functioning ACC setup (Radar, DSC, ICM) I followed the TJA retrofit guide here: https://www.bimmerfest.com/threads/d...t-tja.1382749/
I got the HOD module from eBay : https://www.ebay.com/itm/12436521480...MAAOSwsu9fFRn7 Regarding the error, I'm pretty sure that is because the coding was modified to operate beyond 37mph. The error after a short period of time points to coding related issue. Please do review the thread. |

1. Do you have the steering wheel button for TJA?
2. Have you injected 5AR into VO/FA? If you want TJA, you have to have the button on the steering wheel and inject 5AR into VO/FA, and have SZL and KOMBI/DKOMBI coded and you must have ACC, KAFAS2 all working fine.

You don’t need the special steering wheel button. As long as you have HOD working and 5AR VO coded to the car, the “down arrow” (decrease following distance) button for ACC will activate TJA. The difference in buttons between TJA and regular ACC is just the painted label, the wiring is identical.
