Hi guys! I need help for SLI coding here.

My SLI stopped working a week ago as I coded KAFAS2 and DKOMBI and ICM for some retrofit work. In the KAFAS2 FSC status, it showed FSCstatus accepted, but it does not work as only showing --- with a big red circle in the DKOMBI without speed info(before coding, it worked fine), but the VIN showed in FSC status was not my VIN but the donar car's VIN as the KAFAS2 module and the camera were from eBay and I had someone done something to enable SLI.

I saw some discussion in the forum that this issue might be solved by flashing KAFAS2, so I did flash the KAFAS2 to updated the software to the latest i-level. Now the SLI is still not working by showing ' --- --- ' in the DKOMBI without showing speed info. I checked KAFAS2 FSC status, it now shows FSCstatus rejected and other 2 FSCstatus (FCW and PP) also show rejected (they showed accepted before flashing and worked fine, not like SLI which showed accepted but did not work), however the VIN in FSC status is now showing the correct VIN of my car.

Any idea what I should do to make all the 3 FSCstatus accepted again so that they can properly work? Do I have to buy FSC for it? Thanks for help!

For 8TH (SLI) to work, you will also have to recode HU. If you have SLI emulator previously, you will need to remove it. Because it uses KAFAS2 uses camera on windscreen and HU to display info. Also, which camera did you install? It has to be one that supports SLI.

With KAFAS2, you have to keep doner VIN. It will reject if you run ISTA or try to change VIN because FSC certificates doesn’t match VIN anymore. Once certificates are rejected, you will need to reload those certificates files again in order for those features to work again. LDW will probably be the only one that still works just because it’s a safety feature. You can bypass that hassle by paying for FSC certificates for yout VIN but it is expensive because you will need one for each feature.

Thanks for reply! I already coded HU, KAFAS2, DKOMBI, and I never used or installed SLI emulator.

Now I purchased genuine FSC code of SLI for my VIN and have it imported via esys, but it still does not work. In FSCstatus, it shows accepted and it is now under my real VIN, but it only shows --- with a big red circle without speed info in the cluster. I checked ISTA and no fault code in KAFAS2, the camera also works fine. However, in diagosis test of Road Sign Recogintion, it shows in the pic, I guess this is the issue, it seems the KAFAS camera cannot recoginze the road sign, but FCW and PD are all working fine. How to fix the SLI issue?

Can you post a picture of the back of your camera or the part number of your camera?

That should be the correct camera.

Looks like it’s just a FSC issue. You can’t mix match FSC for different VIN. The KAFAS module looks for FSC that matches its own VIN so you would either need to flash the KAFAS module with your VIN then load FSC for 8TH or load FSC certificates from doner vehicle if it had 8TH and you backed it up. If you choose to use your VIN, other features will be disabled until you get FSC for those options with your VIN which is a very expensive route.

Thanks for respond! I did flash the KAFAS2 module and buy the genuine FSC code. I imported the FSC code into KAFAS2 module, in the FSCstatus it is now accepted and shows the correct VIN, not the donar car's VIN. Now I am thinking of country restrain or FDL coding to fix it, but not sure. As I understand correctly, if a genuine FSC code is imported, no need to do any FDL change coz it has been automatically change to make SLI work.

Just changed COUNTRY_SLINPI_MODE to all 00 and it worked.
