5 day old 550xi nail in tire!

Baught the car on july 18th beautifull car, smooth ride gas mileage is ok

Really fell in love with everything was going good until !!!!!

almost had a heart attack when i saw my baby with this and by the looks of it it was far through the side wall and i was fearing the worst. ofcourse i didnt think the tire insurance was worth it so i didnt get it. i took it to the nearest bmw service center as soon as possible. after fearing the worst they let me know that the screw was only about 2 centimeters in length and didnt go anywhere near through the tire

Nice. I had 2 screws in the same tire 2 weeks apart. First had to be removed and they patched the RFT. The second one, I removed and monitored tire pressure, and it's been fine. Good for you, considering replacement tires for your car, aren't exactly easy to come by.

If that was my car I probably would have replaced the tire.But then I've always been a pretty cautious guy.Well,at least I've been that way in recent years.
