Stuck at ZGW2 flashing

Hi everyone, I am trying to flash ZGW2 High to enable can3 function. My car is before facelift.
- I edited basevariant zgw → zgw2 and
- modified zeitkriterium and typeschlussel to LCI values
And then tried many Istep combinations but it always either shows no update available, or if update available then hwel is red.

From my knowledge I shouldnt flash with red hwel?
So I am stuck. How can I update ZGW2 high, do i try to flash anyway despite red hwel?

If anyone has any thoughts or ideas, please share.

This might be a tough one. I would recommend first trying to flash back to stock FW. Ideally, I'd recommend getting a used ZGW -8sk and use that with your car to get CAN3 enabled, (assuming you're doing this for LED retrofit since that's the only module/s that use CAN3 on F10 platform ((besides night vision dynamic spot lighting I believe))

You are correct I am trying to retrofit LCI LED headlights.
I think ZGW2-8SK is not an option for me because it doesnt have MOST connection, which I need because of CIC?

Also I dont understand what do you mean by trying to flash back to stock FW? Do you mean FA?

OK, I was able to get the High Plus ZGW also to work. That ZGW came out of a 650i 2013 and I had flashed it with option 552 in FA in place of the xenon option.

Assuming of course you are starting with a ZGW High or ZGW High Plus (black ZGW) instead of one in a silver case...

I meant to flash back to stock FA (Since ZGW doesn't get coded, you have to FLASH it)

Yes I understand that ZGW doesnt have CAF files, and has to be flashed to upload a new option code. Which is what I did, reflashed ZGW with 552 option code, but can3 doesnt work still. For that I have to flash newer 8sk software which is where I am stuck now.

To me honest, I never tried on a "high". My factory was high plus, the two ages I bought off of eBay used, one was high plus from 650i the other 8sk from a 750i.. so I can only suggest trying one of those ZGWs. I read somewhere you can flash newer FW on ZGWs but I'm not sure if all hardware is equal inside to enable CAN3

I managed to flash my ZGW successfully with warnings, using this guide

But now my CIC is dead, and still there is no communication between lci headlights and car even with CAN3 enabled.
