I like the propeller look of the spinning logo, its iconic for me. That's why even on a stormtrooper color scheme (whole car is white on black) I personally would never get the blacked out badges

Should I get these... Should I go full-on rice and get the lighted ones or the non-lighted ones?

If it would spin without the movement I'd go for them. But they sway back and forth and don't think they they're true "floater" caps. The original ones look way better imo esp when they spin

I have them. I love them. Last year I put them on my oem 351 M 19's and got alot of compliments. I recently powder coater my wheels high gloss black and added the color match vynl sticker to cover the blue on logos. Now they definitely look sick. Once issue I am having is one of them appears to get stuck. I washed the center cap in soap and water, used an air duster to get out any dirt, used wd 40 to make sure the bearing runs smooth. It still is getting stuck. I am not sure if the cap is slightly warped or maybe the inner lip where you mount the center cap has some over spray from the powder coating and not allowing the cap to "float." Now I look like a jerk with 1 spinning center cap. May have to go back to the floaters. May just go back to the stock ones and add the color matched vynl stickers again.

Standard WD40 isn't a lubricant. Sounds like excess powdercoat. Maybe a little emery cloth or 3K grit sandpaper is in order to smooth the mounting surface. Does the cap spin in your hand? That would rule in or out the bearings.

Definately spins in my hand but I also notice a slight wobble which may cause the lip of the rounded to get caught. All other caps are fine.
I'm picking up a fresh set of floating caps this evening and will test them out to see if a new cap was in order or excess powder coat is the culprit

Got the new wheel caps. Definately not the old wheel caps being the issue and looks like excess powder coat as you described. You recommend 3k grit sandpaper or Emory cloth. Anything special I should look out for. The sticking cap is really bugging me and I don't want to go to the traditional caps.

I would definitely use a wet-sand. You don't want to damage the powder coat. Just go very light and easy.

YMMV

Fixed. Didn't too much dried up over spray..... Had to sand it use the dremel attachments but by hand. Didn't care too much on scraping up the inside as apposed to wearing down the lip where the center cap mounts. All is good now.

Definately recommend oem caps over any aftermarket ones. Most of the cheap aftermarket ones tend to discolor and peel over short time.
