Confusion on tire/wheel size 2015 550i M-Sport
Hi All,
I recently bought a used 2015 550i M-Sport (non xdrive) and I dont like the tires that are currently on there. Currently I have 245/40/R19 all around and the brand is Momo TopRun (never heard of them... looks like the previous owner might have replaced them). All the information online tells me I should have a staggered setup but even the sticker on the side of the door says that both front and rear are 245/40/R19 XL. so whats going on here.... My question is what is the widest tire that I can install in a non-staggered setup. More specifically what is the exact wheel width that I have (8.5 or 9?) I thought I could install 275/35/R19 but Discount Tire is saying its not going to work in the front. Sorry I am complete noob when it comes to wheels/tires. any suggestions.

Your wheel width is stamped on the back side of each wheel (usually on one of the spokes), along with its offset. If they are OEM wheels and not staggered, as suggested by your door pillar and the fact that all of your tires are already 245/40/19, then they are likely 8.5" wide. You do need a 9" or 9.5" wide wheel to install a 275/35/19 tire, and as already said, you should not go wider than 255mm (eg 255/40/19) on an 8.5" wide wheel. 245/40/19 is the standard tire size for OEM on a 8.5 x 19" wheel. Do your front and rear tires seem to have the same amount of bulging or stretching? If so, then your wheels are almost certainly not staggered.

Is there a back spacing for 19x9.5 or 19x10 wheels that would work on the F10 in a square setup? Would the 275/35-19 work in the front on the right wheel without rubbing? (Stock msport suspension).
