Personally, I think the 535 has plenty power...yes, the 550 has more, and is a blast, but I've not run into a situation where I really needed it! The 535 is more efficient, which you live with every day, too. FWIW, I6 and V8 engines are the only two reasonably available engines that are inherently balanced.

Now, if I was trying to be king on the autobahn, I might reconsider (except for their fuel costs!).

Congrats my man! Yes, the 535 is an amazing car with very good power figures.

The 550 however, is an absolute MONSTER (especially tuned), but you don't always need that kind of power.

Enjoy, and please post some pics for us. Thanks.

YAY !!!! and congratulations on the arrival. I might get a new X5 and will consider the 6 cylinder as it is a great engine. Our GT is the 550 and at factory specs amazes me sometimes. I can only imagine what Dinan's ride must perform like.

We live in the mountains and the GT is an absolute pleasure to drive.

Will post some pics on the weekend. Hopefully the issues with the drive train will be sorted out today; fingers crossed.
