550i from hell
Just got done replacing all 4 vanos and intercooler to dinan, vented the coolant started the car ran great for 20 mins, opened the coolant reserve and car started stumbling and fell on its face . I also got a ton of faults

Clear the codes and see what comes back. The problem with a lot of non-ISTA scanners is they don't show if it's a stored code or a current code.

Ouch, '550 from hell', welcome to the club. You're not a real N63 owner until you have more faults then miles driven, haha. Just kidding, but not really. Like Unspec said, you have to get ISTA setup.
kretzu can hook you up in the DIY section if you don't have a copy. You can check the FB groups too, a lot of guys will get on TeamViewer and help you with setup and basic diagnosis, assuming you're not already using ISTA. Good luck

Thanks guys going to try and get ista . I have had way to many problems with this car . Lmao . Also none of the codes will clear . Also have no throttle when startup . I'm wondering if the throttle body went .

Sorry to hear about your troubles. LMK if you need help with ISTA setup.
This engine's rep is the reason I won't even tune it or install any aftermarket performance parts - it's hard enough just to keep it happy and operational as stock.

Also some scanners are unable to clear codes. I've noticed this in the past. But I'm usually able to clear them with ista. But serious once return instantaneously

I fried my dme when I removed the engine harness on bank 1. Had one of the ground wires not fully tightened and it fried instantly.
When I started the car, it ran like crap and had a bunch of similar codes. |
