It's a shame for NewSong that wouldn't happen. Plenty of people find most of my anecdotes refreshing. That other guy is just butt-hurt that I ragged on the color of his ride to make other people laugh. It's just a fucking car. Platinum Metallic Silver sucks too. It's plain as fuck. Oh shit, isn't that what I hate? FML.

Being from Denver, I can tell you Cutler is an immature crybaby and ass hat. When you are 24 years old and just starting out in your career, you keep you mouth shut and do what the boss tells you to do. I can't believe he was crying when the subject of trading even came up.

"I don't want to play for in Denver.....Wait, I never said that. Why did you trade me? I wanted to stay in Denver......"

That was basically the saga.

I would consider somebody wealthy if they could by a house straight up with no mortgage. The cars, the clothes, the spending doesn't mean shit. Its about having the liquid cash so u don't need to take out loans. Just my $.02.

combination of all the above.
-car
-house
-cash in the bank

sometimes people choose to have smaller houses or cheaper cars. straight up cash is a pretty obvious sign. usually if a guy/girl is wealthy they'll be driving something that isn't an econo car and they'll probably have a nice house.

wealth is not a static term. what one person considers wealthy might not be the same for another.

So what? There's nothing wrong with a Ford Focus. If you think it's the right car for you then it's the right car for you.

You honestly can't tell a damn thing about a person's finances from the car they drive. If anything a car is one of the worst guides.

I've met guys in M3's that couldn't afford the car, let alone a house, retirement, their kid's college fund, etc. I also once knew a guy that drove an old beater pickup but had several Ferarri's at home and only worked a regular job for "something to do" after he inherited a good sized real estate company.

How do I judge wealth? I don't think you can without really knowing someone. Too many people in this country running around spending money they don't have on things they can't afford. Meanwhile you have a ton of people who are truly loaded living in humble every day houses, driving sensible cars and wearing bargain basement clothes. Look at Bill Gates, the man dresses like a shlub. If you saw him walking around and did not know who he was, you would not think he was one of the richest men in the world.

It is not up to me to judge someone else's wealth. However, I can judge my own be measuring one thing -- time. If I have the time to spend with doing the things I want to do with the people I want to do it with (and helping the people I want to help), then I have amassed the sufficient wealth that allows me to do that. If not, then I am still slaving away for the buck in order to get there. I'm still working on it...

Really what I have found is that you cannot gauge someones wealth by there materialistic objects.

I read a poll somewhere that said that the favorite vehicle of a millionaire is a ford truck.

I admit I make a great living at 28 years old. My parents have done extremely well and my dad wears sweats on the weekend LOL! You never really know.

Wealth can be defined in numerous different ways. Family, education, money, jewelry. It all depends. I have 3 kids so that could make me wealthy. To each his own. But damn good thread newsong. The first good thread to make one think in awhile. thanks.

Another note in between my 06 330i and my e92 coupe I had a smart car. It was a good payment, cheap insurance and I tried really hard to like it. I could not. Drove like shit. I had to get another BMW. When I get in on my way home after a 12 or 16 hour day it makes me feel like its for a reason. Of course, I have tons of pics of my family at my office to do the same everyday.

I judge people's wealth by which third-world countries they've purchased.

I saw Bill Gates, he was all alone driving down the street he lives off of. There isn't a house around there less than $2m now, $7-8M for waterfront. He was driving an Enzo and his house is riduculously huge.

To me someone is wealthy if they could stop working today and maintain the same standard of living for the rest of their life.
