I did a little mod today and made the exhaust flaps remotely controlled. Not bad for a 11€ mod .

FYI,

I just wanted to try these as the price was fair. They are only slightly larger than the stock intake pipe. If we are serious about real flow, the custom intake pipe from @AZ-MCRacer seems to be a lot larger in diameter and much better quality as these pieces from FTP seem to have thin walls.

The JB4 I bought according to Burgertuning had the older connection so I had to buy the retrofit harness that had the OBDII connection which also allows me to add Bluetooth.

bored of my seats as they're not bucket seats. anyone think it would be too Hot Boy or Ricey if I were to swap the seats out to some racing seats or possibly maybe another BMW seat that looks better. someone posted some M5 seats that looked pretty good. i'm getting the itch to do some kind of cosmetic thing to the car as I haven't done anything to her in awhile

maybe a pair of M4 seats?

Interesting.... BUT... Will the electronics work? Would some special coding need to be done to get them to work? Is the coding even available?

I would imagine your best bet would be F10 seats.

i'm probably sure some coding would be needed. i'll do more research on this. someone previously did M5 seats which looked pretty good. I dunno...i'm working on the performance side of things but i'm kinda getting bored of the look right now since it's been the same for a couple of years now. I almost wanna wrap it myself

oh, I thought you made a typo when you asked if I found M4 seats? so as far as fitting, no I don't know if they would fit. what i'm really looking at is having a machine shop custom make some brackets or something. I dunno, it's all in the air right now

Plasti dipped the rear emblems. Thought it came out pretty good.

One thing I'll say after using Plasti dip for the first time is that it does not feel as it will last long. Not sure I would ever do it on wheels.

As long as you did it right, it will last a long time. Clean the surface properly before starting (rubbing alcohol). First coat should be kind of light and the others can be thicker but no running drips. I believe I did 4-5 coats in total with 5 mins between each coat. I did the same thing to my old 535xi and the badges lasted for two years no problem (and even longer, don't know because I sold it).

hope so. I cleaned the surface (just with water and dried with a microfiber towel). I did three coats and like you said, light coat on first with the second and third a little more without dripping. I waited about 15 mins between coats.

It was pretty easy with the longest part covering the trunk and bumper with newspaper to make sure I didn't get excess dip anywhere.

How were you able to easily remove the over-sprayed "dip"?
