Carbon Fiber Headlights
I need to replace the covers on my headlights. While I have them open, I was thinking of some customization. I was thinking of wrapping the interior with carbon fiber wrap. Has anyone done this? Will it last with the heat inside the headlight? Looking for some direction on this.

So, I started the project by purchasing new OEM housings and covers from ebay. I also purchased some 3M carbon fiber film. I am on the lookout for headlight internals so I don't have to tear apart my headlights (not yet anyway).

So, it took me an entire weekend to do this. I completely disassembled the headlights in order to paint the chrome and wrap the visible plastic parts. I think they turned out well, and they it cost me about $400 to do.

So I used a translucent blue from Autozone (SKU #353491). I had to completely disassemble them in order to spray them correctly.

I used the original internals, so no, I did not receive any error codes. I am not sure about using aftermarket parts. I think i really depends if you are using different LED or Xenon drivers.
