BMW M5 OEM 20" M343 vs 19" M345

Please help me decide what rims setup I should take for my AW F11 M550xd. I have bought winter 19" M408 this season and got hooked on concavity. Have put on my 20" M434 last week and I don't like the flat look anymore.

The 19" have better and smoother ride but I prefer the M343 concavity, tho I am not sure if M345 have same concavity? 19" are cast vs 20" forged. Both setups I can get used for almost same price.

19" M345

20" M343

I also contemplated these two sets, but I ended up with the 343’s with non RFT tires. Couldn’t be happier. The ride is now smoother and less harsh, Day and night difference without Runflats.

I already have non RFT on my 20" M434 and I know what are you talking about, it is indeed a huge difference. But when I switch on my winter 19" M408 (also non RFT) its another huge difference vs 20".

I went ahead and bought 19" M345, like the design more and there is concavity that I was after.

Still a great choice, I really like the 345’s also. I just wish they came in 20”.

Rims are on! Super satisfied with them. The ride is so much more smoother and it corners better with more sidewalls. Also, I get better feeling on acceleration due to 255/285 combo vs 245/275 I had with 20".

yes thats right. I want as much tyre as I can for better traction. The 245 in the front would be more ideal considering height vs 285 on the back, but 255/285 combo is still under BMW recommendations for xdrive, less than 1% difference, in fact BMW factory staggered setup is 245/275 which is exactly the same difference than 255/285.

Thanks! Yes, the touring is ideal family car and with 50d motor I can still enjoy some fast driving when I want to. I am also towing my caravan and boat with it, so its really practical car for my use.

Hi,
Looks fantastic! Any spacers required? Did you do any mods?
I am thinking to get m345 for the 528i xdrive (non-Msport)
Thank you.
