Do you guys see this on your idrive?

Hi Guys, I have a 2013 F10 with NBT and my car is equipped with the driver assistance package. Can I check if you guy see the below pics on your idrive screen when the individual features are activated?

guys with MY 2013 (Pre-LCI) please chime in. Understand 2012 and below wont see it as they have the CIC version.

What's the actual question? You think you should see those pictures and don't on your car?

I believe that there is a single check box setting which disables the full screen display of "driving modes" on CIC/NBT such as NORMAL, COMFORT, SPORT etc.... That same check box (or a similar one) may enable/disable full screen flashy marketing graphics for the driver aids too. If you are expecting these and not seeing them, it could be this setting.

Yup I’m not seeing them on the car and not sure where to enable them. Was wondering if this is a NBT vs NBT Evo thing...

My understanding is your car has CIC, NBT came with LCI.
Someone with more understanding may correct me if I'm wrong.

Garage List
NBT came about 1 year before LCI, +/-. My F10, built in August 2012, has NBT.

Which button set-up do you have to initiate the intelligent safety features? Do you have the switch on the dash to the left of the steering wheel (see pics below)? Or do you have the Intelligent Safety Button which is usually a dual button with the HAZARD switch that incorporates all of the safety features into one button that usually calls up the iDrive screens you posted in your original post?

If you have the switch below that turns the safety features on/off...then you won't have those iDrive screens.

button layout can vary depending on how the car is optioned: blind spot|collision warning|lane departure|night vision|head-up display

If you have the single Intelligent Safety Button shown below...that allows you to select ALL or only the ones you want turned on...then you will see the iDrive screens you posted above:

Thanks for the information! However, if you notice, the pictures I have shared clearly shows that intelligent safety button is not present below the hazard button. The F10 never had intelligent safety button there...it only had them next to the steering wheel. Vehicle in the pictures I have shared is a F10.

I keep feeling like we're getting off track. The question isn't how to turn the features on or off, or whether the OP has CIC or NBT, it's why the information doesn't pop up full screen when the buttons are pressed.

On CIC there is one setting which disables all of this "full screen display" when changing driving modes. It applies to DSC/DTC, and SPORT/COMFORT, and may also apply to the extra driving aids.

I suspect that NBT may have the same (since I have turned it off on loaner cars with NBT and NBT evo). If this has been unchecked on the OP's vehicle, it will suppress all the full screen mode change indications that he/she is seeking.

Bottom line: it is an owner option to turn them off. It's almost certainly simply a matter of finding the setting and turning it on if you want them.

See the videos in post #8...hopefully they will help explain how to pull up the screens in iDrive to make adjustments for the older set-up.

Good point.

I've retrofitted the NBT in my car from a CIC and the images for Lane Departure warning and the Front Collision Warning are there, but when I press the lane change warning button to turn it on, the image (last image in the initial post) does NOT show up.. Wondering what could be the reason since the car the NBT came from had this option also..

Anyone know the coding parameter to enable this?

For those of us that hate acronyms and are new to this tech, here is a post that explains it well.
