Refresher Warranty
So...I went to BMW today for an oil change. They told me I have to purchase the “refresher warranty” for 700 to sign the warranty that is still valid into my name. I said u want 700 for an oil change?? And I left. Anyways I‘lol be changing my oil tomorrow.

Right! It’s fine for the time being I ordered an oil change kit from FCP euro. 71$ and I get OEM oil, I just have to find a maintenance chart now to see what else has to be done at 25k.

Do a quick search on here about Dealer warranty. It appears the $700 is 2 separate items that some dealers try to sneak in as one.

It's possible that they were referring to refreshing the maintenance plan (which would then have covered your oil change + any other future maintenance options). When you buy a CPO (and perhaps other used BMWs) that are still under factory warranty, you have the option to refresh the maintenance plan that comes with the car but is applicable only to the original owner. $700 is probably about right if that's what they were trying to sell you. Whether or not it's a reasonable deal depends on how long you'd have left on the plan and whether or not you have any major maintenance items coming due (the best example is probably brakes, which can easily cost $700).

Yes - that definitely sounds like the refresh of the factory maintenance plan. I wouldn't do it unless you believe you will need brakes and/or some other major covered service between now and November. It's not a warranty per se - it just covers maintenance. Also, it only covers what BMW says is required. So if you've already done your oil change, you probably won't get another one showing up as due on the computer before November unless you do unusually high miles. If you haven't done the oil change, you figure the maintenance plan saves ~ $120 on that and you'd need to expect that you'd have more than $580 in other covered maintenance (not repair) costs between now and November.
