DME Update

Ok, I've been searching the forum for a little while and I can't find an answer or DIY for updating the DME. Is this something that can be done as a DIY or do you have to go to the Stealership.

Havent had experience with them yet, if you have instagram mybimmerbrain can remotely do this cheaper then dealer. Otherwise all a indy mechanic shop and ask if not stuck with dealer. Id be to afraid to brick any computer built in the car if I did myself. Best to keep it to experienced. I need mine checked/done as well.

You can with ISTA-P I think you need the older version for pre LCI.
there was a tech on ebay who was selling the older version or pre LCI version.

I think its was around 250 for the dealer to do it. I would go that route if that price is still that same.

Well I know I will need to update the kombi ECU if I upgrade the cluster and I was using Ista+ doing a diagnosis on a roughly idle. I tried to reset adaptations, however some crankwheel adaptation wouldn't reset because it said I needed to update one of the other ECU's. I thought it might make sense to update them all.
