18" Rims For More Rubber

Anyone here has 18" set for their 550i and what size of tire? I want more comfort with somewhat looks. I am thinking small rims more room for rubber to absorb harsh bumps and roads.

OEM size is 245/45/18, and if staggered, 275/40/18 in the rear.
