BMS Intake

I know people either like or dislike this intake or any aftermarket intake for that matter. Most of us just buy it to hear the turbo whistle but I must say after I installed my bms I do not hear turbo spool really at all. Its very faint. The rest of the car is 100% stock. Is that typical? Everyone out there makes it sound like its really loud once you install the intake. Honestly, you'd never know I added an intake. Kind of disappointed. Anyone else have this problem?

You are 1000% RIGHT. It sucks because of the sound proofing under the hood. When u open the hoop the spool sound is loud AF. but closed, it's point less and I feel OeM is better bacause it's a closed system and the turbo is breathing cooler air VS engine cabin massive heat. I sold mine months after.

Yeah I feel you. I may get rid of mine soon. Pointless purchase. I was warned but still bought it anyways. All well.

This I know but living in california I'm not entirely sure I want to go catless or aftermarket at all on my dp. Coming from someone who had a highly modified car just a few months ago and go state ref'd. Its not fun.

If you want to hear it remove the weather stripping around the engine that seals in the hood. It's also an old e90 trick to cool your engine bay faster. Careful going through the car wash with it off
