This looks like the DTUK tune , its known in the diesel world and very approved when I was doing some research on Racechip I found Dtuk.

ARC550 lol badblack550xi lets just wait and see the Dyno results , if the tuner couldn't get his car flashed due to being an older model perhaps and he found it would work for now with that piggyback so FenixMike the ESS piggyback can you confirm with them to see if its a Custom DTUK or Speed-Buster control unit? provide some Dyno and 1/4 time

From my understanding there's a lot of X5 35d and 535d using RC & Dtuk since they have the piggyback for diesel. But the tuner might have gotten the dtuk piggyback and flashed it into his own ways for the 550.

Similar to what ActiveAutowerke has now called Active-8 .. its pretty much a European piggyback but it has their own custom tune on the hardware itself <--- http://www.speed-buster.de/en/

Rob, he builds all of his own kits. ESS is a VERY large operation overseas with a R&D facility and sales here that AJ runs. Everything from CNC work to blowers to casting components are all built from scratch for their kits and the amount of testing they do is quite amazing! Plugs and chassis are likely something bought in bulk as its cheaper that way, but all the internals and electronics are their own design.

The last time I was excited about running 11.7, I was 17 years old. Just to get a taste of what I'm used to, heres my last car... running here in July when it was 110 out. I can only imagine what it would have done in your air. The Red Cobra is mine.

surprisingly close... those cobras are pigs! even with weight reduction, after adding the cage it was 3880 lbs. The car running against me had about 150 less horsepower, but only weighed 3300 lbs, so you can see what weight really does to a vehicle.

If I get time after work this week I can try to get some 0-whatever videos, other than hitting it on an onramp though and a few small hits on the way home from ESS, I havent done much other than sit in traffic and work. AJ comes back in 4 weeks and I plan on playing with it on the dyno and trying other fuels! My buddy may slap one on his 750 this week too so I can get his results as well.

AJ emailed me my dyno today. This is with no driving at all, basically just installing it, and roughly 10-12 pulls straight with the only break being to make small adjustments. Boost increases started at 3500 rpm, I don't have anything touched below that RPM so traction is still awesome, no spikes or surging, and no knock. I will be dynoing again when AJ gets back in town as it seemed to get much faster the more I beat on it on the way home Because there are no crazy torque spikes, you can see the true power increase of his piggy back system. Im also going to play a bit with lowering where the boost comes in to see if I can still get traction, but seeing as how you're only at that RPM for a split second before hitting the power band and never returning, its pretty much pointless to make huge torque down there that just limits a launch.

I don't have a xdrive the benefit of not having boost dialed in till 3500. I do have fancy tires too though and the warm asphalt doesn't hurt either.

Im no genius but wouldn't u want the turbos to start spooling early to give you the power up high faster?

I think its pretty cool to not have it kick in till 3500, except when your at the track, with some good DR's or slicks.
W/out that extra boost/power car would just bog off the line.

But for normal driving, I can see how this is beneficial.
