Fitment issues, i went thru 4 different valences before i found what i needed.. I tried a valence recommended by one of the forum members who most likely never installed one by it self.. The setup was identical to mine.. M-Sport Bumper with comfort access and the valence was m5 replica and m5 fitment. Not anywhere did he mentioned that comfort access frame had to be modified.. Another valence was so cheap it was not even worth installing on the car, i dont see why anybody would put such a crap part on a 30K+ vehicle lol.
I just feel like there are alot of people talking out of their ass without an actual experience with modifications on here.. Pics or didn't happen fellas... |

I just added the M5 exhaust on base bumper (Cut openings) yesterday and Im very happy with the sound. I may have been "cut happy" with the dremel too LOL.
I would add a cold start video but I dont know how, it sounds the same as other 535i with M5 muffler videos. |

Where would you recommend going to find the M5 mufflers? New OEM from a BMW Parts store? or used? and where?
Also, how straightforward was the installation process? I know the M5 mufflers have the internal flaps, how did you handle those? |

I bought mine used from a forum member here. The flaps are held open with zipties. The installation was done in a muffler shop, they charged me $100 it took about an hour.

I had these on my old 535i as well. The sound was okay but just wasn't enough for me. I ended up selling the mufflers and just doing a muffler delete instead.

Did the closed valves helped with a little drone in the 1500-1900rpm range? |

The m5 muffler is actually loud enough for me, might be louder than I expected. I cant imagine a delete, will be too much for my preference. My wife does not like the loudness at all but does add the sporty sound the car is missing.

After playing around with the valves, I found the optimum combination for my preference for drone control. I left the driver side valve open and closed the passenger side. It still has the sporty sound outside but just very mild rumble inside the cabin. I am feeling really old, When I was younger I would have had a blast with a loud exhaust.
