Brakes

I fitted a set of mintex pads 11 months ago I have done 8 thousand miles and it's come up they need replacing is this normal please

it depends how you drive.. if you tend to use brakes a lot, can be even shorter or if you track the car.. 12-13k km is not that long but within bounds..
