Rock Chips

My 2011 F 10 Sapphire Black has a few rock chips in the front end. I only had this car a few months. I've been driving BMWs for a long time and I don't remember BMW paint being so fragile. Does anyone know of any way to repair the rock chips with success?

You can do touchups or repaint the hood. But, I suggest you install a clearbra on the front of the car to avoid that getting worse. I know of a guy who does that well. PM me if you need his contact info.

had the car for 8400 miles so far and the I-95 in the USA has definitely had some fun with my front end. But with all due respect... it's done ALOT better than what I'd imagine... salt trucks, lots of loose gravel in certain areas and trucks kicking up rocks left and right. I'm pretty sure i'll be due for a respray of the front at around 36,000 miles.

totally going through the same thing, it SUCKS... I heard BMW went to a softer paint so it's way easier to scratch... I just had my car totally wet sanded and buffed out, no more swirl marks... now I have to wash my car myself, everytime in order to keep it swirl free!
No sure the reasoning behind going to a softer paint but I can tell you IT SUCKS!

I read review about this product. It doesn't actually "FILL IN" the chipped area. it just colors it to match the surrounding area and make it less visible. For very small chips, it would be ok. But if you have larger chip or scratch. It will not work.

I just put a couple of scratches underneath my front bumper and was thinking about using Langka. I've heard it works well and is similar to Dr. Colorchip.

I just watched their product video and all I can say is save your money. They basically tell you to buy the manufacturers paint then use their rags, credit card sized bit of plastic, and polish to complete the jobs. The cleaner would just be isopropyl alcohol, and the other components most people would have in their garage anyway.

Save your money.
