Replica M sport front bumper

I've searching this forum, eBay and other sources on whether these replica bumpers need all the extra parts as if I were purchasing an OEM bumper. Didn't find anything, any ideas? And if so could someone point me in the right direction? Thanks for any help.

They are replicas of the MSport bumper, not made to work on non-MSport cars without the correct supporting hardware.

Buy all of the OE parts and do it right.

I got my whole m5 replica kit from umnitza . Com

Fits perfectly. And came with all hardware for install (fog lights, mesh lower grills, etc).

Whole kit unpainted, front, rear, sides for roughly $1100. Got it factory matched and mounted for another $1000

Holly crap, you guys are paying that much for a replica??? I bought a used OEM one, then ordered all the OEM hardware (fog lights, grills, etc.) Paid less than $1000 for everything - including paint and install. Bodyshop practically turned it into a brand new OEM bumper after it was sanded, prepped and re-painted.

I hear ya! I've seen used OEM MSport front bumpers go for like $150+ on EBay but unless you got a hook up at a body shop than a lot of times they charge you more because of the extra work they have to do to repair the bumper before paint.

I found one locally for $200 and bought the rest of the hardware for another $300-$400. That gives the bodyshop another $1400 to match the price of the Umnitza one above.

I either have a really good bodyshop hookup or $1000 seems way too much to prep and paint a bumper that should basically bolt right on.

Most of the times, it's hard to tell the difference if you get a good quality rep bumper. The rep will come with everything you need, nothing more.....maybe you need to buy the thinner rubber bumper piece underneath the front bumper cover. I did the front/side/rear of the wife's last car (F10) for a fraction of the price of OE.

+1! and i don't think anybody really cares! unless you're that Dbag who walks up to people asking if their bumpers are OEM than you have the right to punch them in the face!

I agree, but I would go with OEM 100% of the time if the price difference is not significant.
