Was wondering has anyone used / installed or heard of anyone that has the bavsound speakers upgrade??... I think my front mid and tweet are on its way out.. change em all while I'm at it I'm guessing

I did the bavsound upgrade
I didn't have a speaker in the center before so the music was worthless
Now after the upgrade there is a noticeable difference.
much better surround and deeper louder bass

So i did the upgrade. i have the HK system. So the amp is pretty good.

I bought the underseat subs and the speakers.

for the price I believe its a great plug and play upgrade. (i paid 1200 for mine) as i found everything used.

No wire cutting/adding additional amps etc...

i also tried their revenant amp upgrade, but i ended up returning it, in my opinion the amp upgrade didn't justify the 2k price tag.

I recently also coded in the bang and olufsen tune for my amp, which made a noticeable difference, in terms of time delay etc...

I do not have the HK system.. just the base speakers.. can I still use the bavsound speakers... I wanted to get the Alpha 1 speakers, but it says its only for use if my car came with the HK installed?? anyone know why?

Call bav sound they will give you the correct answer,

i'm not sure if the speakers will work without the amp, and i'm pretty sure the base system doesn't have an amp.

Bavsound does sell the amp for the base system, and then matching speakers.

Again the advantage is their stuff is all plug and play and great customer service.

However it could be cheaper to go another route at a good local audio shop.

I recently upgraded all of my speakers from the HK to Bav and am very pleased with the results. The initial difference was decent, but really opened up after about 20-30 hours. At higher volumes the sound is full and crystal clear. Despite the speakers surpassing my expectations, I just can’t justify the price of the amp, especially with the mixed reviews.

TBH, I wouldn't go bavsound. I did the upgrade a few years ago. Originally, I couldn't tell much of a difference until I really started leaning into the music. Now, however, I'm sure if I went back, I could tell a big difference from stock.

HOWEVER

I listen to my music pretty loud most of the time (80-85% on the display) and I'm pretty sure I've now got multiple speakers blown. I don't try to kill it every time, and if I hear distortion I will turn it down, but even following those rules, they still didn't last that long for the price. I'm now looking at upgrading AGAIN. If you like loud music, IMHO, do it once, do it right, and get something that will last. Now, I'm looking at the morel kits for the F10, and I'm in the process of adding a JL sub and amp.

I've had Bavsound speakers for over a year and very pleased. Not the greatest but you do hear the difference. I'm a audiophile who's had Focal, Hertz, Boston Acoustics on my other cars but for a plug and play it's easy to install and sounds great.
I also installed a old 12" Solobaric I had and it kicks (I dynomited trunk and around the trunk space with 2 layers of it

.. yah, I was thinking Dynamat would be needed for an uprgrade like that, that stuff works great!!
