I just installed the spool fx150 hpfp, loaded the custom tune and took it for a spin...I'm getting 11a401 & 11b401 shadow codes at startup.
Car drove fine at low RPM with rail pressure at 1k, but at 2500rpm rail pressure crashes to ~100 and car stutters, then smooths out at 4000+ rpm but with rail pressure still at ~100. No CEL or other codes. Connections all seem tight, not like there's gas spewing anywhere. Wondering if where the high pressure line connects there's a chance it's not seated perfectly? But I don't want to take off the intake manifold just for that since that seems like a long shot...appreciate any thoughts

Thanks guys, in touch with tuner and spool about it, will update the thread.
Didn't realize the tuning for a pump could be touchy, I had assumed it was more binary - like, it's enabled or not. Good to hear this doesn't scream any install mistakes as that was of course my first concern. |

By crashing I assume he means the fuel rail pressure dropping abruptly when the hpfp can't deliver the volume the dme is asking for.
Got a revision and it seemed to drive great last night. The tuner said that PWGs can be a lot more sensitive to hpfp settings and that's the issue I was seeing. Def relieved it was only the tune and not bc of a bad pump or from me botching the install. Finally up and running with the ps2 and fx150. Logs look fine so far. Will be iterating with the tuner prob the next couple weeks. Fractal, I'll PM you |

Okay, I need help with this issue too. I’m n55 ewg, ps2, fuel it stage2, spool fx180. I had these same codes and no crank (no rail pressure) after the pressure tanked on a busy interstate and left me stranded. It’s not the pumps (had both bench tested), not fuses, not the fuel control module, I’ve got the pump box check on the mhd backend (I’m jb4 with mhd backed and don’t even go there, I respect that mhd stand alone folks love it, I know it’s working great for many anyway, nothg to do with this). Tried everythg, nothg. Had it towed to a bmw shop and they just did a code reset and it was great! (Sorry didn’t get the codes, evidently somethg I couldn’t reset or see with mhd or jb4). That was 6 months ago, it’s run great until yesterday when it left me stranded again. Over the last 6 months, it’s been to import faceoff, a few SCT’s and 8-10 nights of Mexico. It hasn’t so much as blinked. Then yd it strands me again, 11A401 and 11B401 codes, no fuel pressure, clearing the code doesn’t do it. Please anyone that can help I appreciate it. Is there a ghost code?
