Installation video on an F30 n55:

I saw this video today it looks like this would work on our f10 chassis. Has anyone tried this product before?

I contacted customer service and this fits on a 2011 535i. They needed my vin so not sure if it fits all 2011's.

So this just helps hold more boost and sounds cool? Anything else?

That's it. Personally not a fan of blow off valves, never understood the need to let everyone know your car has a turbo.

Could be the for personal enjoyment too? I personally rather have a louder whistle than woosh woosh from blow off valve. Dv+ for the win.

Fair enough. I personally enjoy engine sounds more than induction sounds, so it takes away a bit from my own enjoyment personally. Don't run enough boost to upgrade my diverter valves, so this is also not from experience though.

Imagine this is a good upgrade if you're going with ps2. Just curious if anyone is running it with their ps2.

I am gonna do it, but I just don't have my turbo yet. I'm going with the Speedtech borgwarner set up.

I might be wrong but from my research I thought it would only fit in a 3 series and wasn't design to fit in a 5 series yet.

You have to fab a mount and deal with the air intake which I am gonna do custom anyway. If you read their site they list what you have to do.

no sir. Have the GFB Diverter Valve. Think my custom intake is what gives it that sound.

will have to fab up alot of things. Jeff has no plans in making a kit for the 5 or 6 series anytime soon. Water pipe and mount have to be fabbed as well as the downpipe. Big Boost is a waste of time and customer service sucks. Had ordered a kit. Everything was a go just to find out the day the kit was supposed to be shipped out the mount wasnt compatible.

Time to move the turbo on top like n54 single turbo... Use speedtech's manifold and get custom pipe done from manifold to turbo and for exhaust lol.

So going back to pure or something else?

Hmm, I need to do some more research. I really liked Speedtech's #'s and their manifold, and I like the BorgWarner quality... Can pure turbo touch that set up as far as power? They seemed like the "economical" upgrade and didn't have as much potential. Also, speed tech was hitting ridiculous #s out of the box with no upgrades.
I would not mind doing the fab work if it gets me a better set up at the end.

What you mean they were hitting ridiculous numbers out of the box? I am pretty sure they using e85 blend or meth to achieve numbers. At 25psi with pure you probably be making-600 to 620ish whp as well...

At what rpm do you get full boost with pure?

Yes, port fueling and their turbo it was around 650 whp, but that is with everything else STOCK.

I am not opposed to being corrected, after all everyone is marketing and selling something. For me, there would have to be a big enough difference to justify the pain of going through getting it all to fit. And not to mention the higher costs and less support or community compared to the pure setup.

Honestly beside the downpipe and intercooler I don't see any full bolt-on mods that really help the car with performance... I mean you change chargepipe just as precaution for example. Also, they include downpipe with their kit so really the only major part that was missing and would make a difference is intercooler. if they did one pull with right conditions than stock intercooler would be fine even on our cars... it is the heaksoak of pulls after pulls (heatsoak can happen on one pull as well, but we don't know how the Dyno was conducted). But the problem is running 650whp okay for stock block? I would go with something like speedtech if you willing to rebuild the engine at some point. Otherwise pure stage 2 is good enough for this stock block and that is just my opinion.
