Help with noise by MAF sensor area f10 535i
Hello everyone,
Week ago noticed this loud noise coming from MAF sensor area. It almost sounds like bunch of bees trapped in the intake box/tubing. I used Carly to scan for codes and received several different error codes mostly for "charge air temp sensor" which might be MAP sensor located on charge pipe I believe. See attached please. [IMG][/IMG] I pulled out MAF, MAP and another sensor that looks identical to MAP sensor located on the intake and cleaned them with throttle/maf sensor cleaner. Now seems like noise doesn't happen as often but its still there. It believe it only happens when cruising at low speed. As soon as I accelerate harder it goes away. Sometimes I can drive for 30 mins and its ok but sometimes as soon as I take off it comes back. After some research people are suggesting cleaning idle valve, checking for vacuum leaks, pcv valve I tested and looks ok. Has anyone had this issue with their f10 535i ? Check engine light is not on yet but trying to prevent a bigger problem tomorrow. I forgot to mentioned that car performs just fine. Cant notice any issues. Your input and help would be greatly appreciated!! |
