Hi all,


Today I tried to retrofit a new BMW steering wheel (with vibrations, heating, paddles) and after changing the FA and coding ICM, SZL, EGS, FRM i am getting q few error related to the steering wheel:



030490 - Steering wheel electronics module( LRE) : Missing LIN SLAVE

030411 - Multi steering wheel (MFL): Wrong version

800A07 - Vibration Motor in steering wheel faulty

48004A - SZL interface (steering wheel vibration): Signal invalid

D01903 - Signal (steering wheel vibration, 268.0.4) invalid transmitted by FEM/ SZL / BDC-


I tried to use 2XA and 7XA in the FA (VO), nothing changed


Can someone please help ?

Do you have the correct clock spring installed? Some wires may need to be ran as well

That was actually one of the problemes, i disn’t had the corect SZL installedz the one i had on the car hard the plug but it was missing the pins( go figure )
Anothe problem was that i had to route some wires to the SZL to power the heating and vibrations.

Yea, sounds like wrong SZL.

Multi steering wheel (MFL): Wrong version just ignore. No one has really figured out why VO coding after changing the FA to the proper options don't make this go away, so just ignore it.
