Picked up this BEAST a week ago.

Loving every minute of it

Freakin' titties yo! The M5 is an Animal but holy $hit balls the GTR is a BEAST! Ah, there's my side skirt extensions you're supposed to sell to me. How do you decide in which toy to drive each day? Cops have gotta harass you in the GTR with how much it stands out right?

My daily is the M5 still getting used to the power compared to the 528i

I use the GTR on the weekends to terrorize the local streets.

Pretty much everywhere you go on the GTR it gets unwanted attention because of the widebody and graphics.

I do most of the easy bolt on modifications like the rear diffuser side skirts and front lip.

For the GTR its has a Rocket Bunny Widebody Kit so I had a local shop do the installation for me since it is very complicated.

quick question Arch as i'm having issues with Vendors saying that the carbon fiber side skirt extensions will not fit the MSPORT side skirts but i had the impression the the M5/MSPORT skirts are the same? with your previous 528 did you have the Msport skirts and did the carbon fiber side skirt extensions fit with no issues? also, who did you order the carbon fiber side skirt extensions from? sorry for all the million questions!

Unfortunately, this the carbon fiber side skirts will not be compatible with the aftermarket side skirts that we offer.
The carbon fiber side skirts will only be compatible with the original factory M5 only.

I cannot tell the difference between the MSport Side Skirts and my M5 Side Skirts.

But when I fitted the carbon fiber side skirts on my MSport sides the fitment is not good.

I have gaps all across the sides and I was planning on putting double sided tape so the gap will be flush to the MSport Side Skirts.

But when I fitted the carbon fiber side skirts on my M5 it fits perfect now with no gaps I was really surprised on the fitment and it looks way now.

Weird! I've been all over eBay and all the skirts are listed as M5/MSport. Also I created a thread before on this and it was confirmed both MSport/M5 have the same part #'s. So you think if you would have used double sided tape when you had you're 528i would've worked...closed the gap? Cause I don't mind doing that.

Yes you will have to put double sided tape on the top sides so it will stick to the oem side skirts for a flush look.

Without the double sided tape there will be a gap between the carbon fiber side skirts and the oem side skirts.
