Using the adjustment tool, any one or all of the following:
  1. Increase contrast
  2. Increase Shadows
  3. Increase Blacks
  4. Decrease Exposure

Now that I'm in front of a computer with Lightroom on it...

The "Burn" feature decreases exposure and seems to do well on asphalt. Just adjust to taste.

What you don't see are the 5-10 additional photos with strobe shots of each part of the car. The before picture is probably just used to the backplate...

That wasn't a remark for your photo, just a general suggestion for everyone.
Depends on how you use the brush, if you have a tablet, you can set the flow down and then paint it in well enough that it's a controlled and keep it out of places without having to mask it out.

Sure!

So the majority of the work is done by doing various strobed exposures of the car. I believe this shot this one consisted of 6-8 exposures.

Each shot was edited individually in Lightroom and then they were all exported into Photoshop.

In Photoshop, I stacked all the photos and masked off certain bits that I didn't like. The final step took a while, and it consisted of brushing the car to make everything look smooth.

What was a cold overcast and very foggy mid morning...

I took the sky from another photo I took on Mulholland one evening. I cropped out the windows and added reflection to the front windshield. Customary lighting, color tweaks.
Beautiful photo, but that goes way past "post processing' into photoshopping.

Edit: Apparently "post processing" and photoshopping are the same thing here.

Most of the photos are pretty good, but some get actually worse due to over "post processing". Also, as to adding and removing elements, I much prefer a more natural look to the created look for non-commercial photos, but that is likely just me.

Any tips on how to make the sun flare effect? I saw a few videos and couldn't really get it to work
