F10 Oil filter housing + Tensioner

My mechanic wants a few hundred to replace Oil filter housing gaskets and Tensioner drive belt wondering if this is something that's easy to do myself to save myself money and if so can someone lead me to the right direction ?!

It's easy enough but I wouldn't do it blindly. I had a friend do it who had experience.

Depending on what a few hundred bucks is, I'd say that sounds reasonable. My one friend paid a shop $600 for it all. I paid my buddy $300 for all the gaskets (OFHG, oil cooler, and valve cover), which includes an oil change and coolant flush. Anything in that ballpark is acceptable.

Also, do all 3 gaskets, not just the one.

When you say 3 gaskets ? What do you mean ? I thought there were only 2 because I replaced the one that's easy to get to but I guess the one in the back which is the harder one to get to needs replacing

If younmean serpentine belt than good luck lol... they are pain in the ass to change on F10, very little room to maneuver unless you take shit apart.

Had my oil filter gasket housing replaced last year as it was leaking onto my belt and I was told by the dealer this could cause the belt to slip and cause a more expensive fix. But I took it to an Indy shop that did it for half the cost what the dealer wanted. I didn't have enough confidence in myself to do it after watching the YouTube video

I just had my oil filter gasket changed by the dealer last month.. they didn't replace my serpentine belt/tensioner though.. wonder if I should go back and pressure them to re-check that out.
