Need honest opinions on wheels I might buy
A good friend of mine is selling his one of a kind 20" OZ Futuras with brushed faces and polished lips. I would have to get them rebarreled to fit the f10. Did a quick photoshop, let me know what you guys think.

My opinion - no go. I'm not a fan of them on Bart's M3 either. I am not a fan of the whole retro wheel on modern cars thing personally but if you get those you'll surely be unique in the F10 community. (Isn't always a good thing imo)

No thanks. Esp if you'd have to rebarrell them. If someone gave me to me, maybe. Otherwise, spend your money on something more fitting to the F10.

Don't even think about it . Ultra wide/thick spoke rims look all wrong on this luxury german car. You're more likely to see these on Mazda's or Hyundai's and you will have zero street cred if you did it to this machine. There are hundreds of other options out there. I'd rather see you stick with standard OEM's in the absence of a quality aftermarket rim. Sorry Bud, but you did ask for honesty.

Those wheels are dope, and with the right stance, it could look INSANE. When messing with outside the "norm" you need to be careful to pull off the right combination, its really easy to fuck up.
If you have no plans to bag it or coilover it, and run aggressive tires (meaty or stretched), you will fail hard. |

Since you're asking: Absolutely no. As Alan, I'm not a fan of retro wheels on modern cars such as the F10. That design would make the 20" look small on the car too, especially when normal 20" wheels already looks small on the F10/11.
The F10 looks so much better with a modern set of wheels with thin spokes and no step lip. |

You could make 20's work if you drop the car enough...
I was itching to do a quick shitty photoshop, so here... 550photoshop by ONEighty_NYC, on Flickr |

That doesn't look like a shitty photoshop to me! Looks pretty darn good! Think you could do that to a space gray 550 with matte black forgestar CF10's, stock ride height and Hamman front lip?

Thanks for the photoshop igor. Surprised these wheels aren't getting any love on here, they look great on Bart's m3 and after that photoshop they're making like them even more...I've done the modern wheel thin spoke 5 times already in the year I had the car so something different that no one else has done couldn't hurt. Also, i don't keep wheels for more than 3 months anyway so we'll see. I'm still on the fence About what I want to do.

It's not the size of the spoke for me. It's the lip. I prefer the face of the wheel be out front. Not sunken in. That's just me.
Either way... If you like 'em... Do it!

Personally I am not a fan of those on the F10, but modding is about personal expression. We all have different tastes, so if you like it, go for it. I see plenty of modded cars that I think are just OK, and others are drooling over. Like you said, you switch wheels often anyway so not that big of a deal.

Also, what do you guys charge to lower the F10? I really didn't want to spend $1k on the lowering and then another $700 to have it put back to stock height.
