Electronic damping control fault after shcok change.

Hello

Just repalced one of my rear shock absorbers. on my 2012 525XD. Easy job really. Thank god. But was both disapionted and surpriced when I got the dynamic damping control failure message upon starting the engine. Tried to do a diagnostic thinking I just had to reset the fault code. But without much luck.

Then tried to connect the old damper that had a leakage and the faultcode disappeared right away.

The shock absorber that I put in is brand new. What can be the problem??

What kind of shock? If you have EDC, did you wire everything back up?
