535i xdrive oil pan gasket advice
Hello,
Has anyone replaced their oil pan gasket on an x drive car with the n55? I was changing the oil on my f10 today when I noticed the oil pan gasket was leaking (see photos below). If anyone has done this or have any good guides I would love to see them. I am wondering if the subframe can just be lower or does it need to be fully removed? Any advice would be appreciated. |

That's not too bad, closer to a seep than a leak. If you're not at the point of drips, don't worry about it. As the engine heats up the metal expands and re-seals it. It's fairly expensive/extensive of a job, hence the general recommendation to wait for it to drip.
Mine's been like this for 10k miles and I don't even need to top off between oil changes.
