Drivetrain Malfunction with AC on
Hello everyone,
Just thought if I could get anyones opinion on if I should change the AC condensor. In traffic while doing a 5-10mph crawl or stop and go traffic the car will rev up a little bit then drop back down to regular idle and will keep doing it until I get a drivetrain malfunction only with the AC on. The moment I turn that AC off the car is perfect. Spark plugs , coils , and belt were recently replaced so I marked that off the list. I just find it weird it only happens when the AC is functional. Any feedback would be helpful. Vehicle is FBO btw. |

You only need to replace the AC condenser if there is a leak. If there is one, you will leak all refrigerant and AC will not engage. It will just blow hot air. If your vehicle still blow cold AC, I suspect maybe compressor is failing instead of condenser.
