Hello, I have a 2012 535xi and I'm experiencing an idle drop on startup. Car will first start up around 600 rpm for a second then jumps to around 1100 rpm then slowly idles down normally back to 600 rmp. Any suggestions? I'm fairly new to the n55 platform so I'm unsure if this is a common issue or not. Thanks

That sounds like normal cold start behavior. It should only do this when the car is cold

On cold starts, my N55 motor will rev up to ~1100 rpm then settle down to 600 rpm within about a minute or so.

I have never seen it go from 600-to-1100-to-600 though.
On very rare occasions it has briefly bumped up to ~1800 rpm for a couple moments before settling back down to 1100 rpm.
