How to get car in neutral?

Hey guys. Looks like I got a dead starter on my 2011 535i. Any ideas on how to get it into neutral? Or is the only option to get underneath the car?

Check out this thread. It describes the process of putting car in neutral either with the shifter (when the starter fails to start) or with a bolt on the transmission body (if there is no electric power).
