550i valve cover sensors

I see there's 2 sensors on each side of the valve covers in the back area. are they all the same ? And what are they

Qty 4, all the same part number, 13627525014 = Camshaft Position Sensor
- Qty 1 left side intake camshaft position sensor
- Qty 1 left side exhaust camshaft position sensor
- Qty 1 right side intake camshaft position sensor
- Qty 1 right side exhaust camshaft position sensor
