I don't think there is any added benefit to this mod, I am pretty sure that this only applies to N63\S63 motors from what my dealer was telling me when I asked why the 2012 535i I traded in for the 550 did not have it. Just go into sport mode and hold the DSC button for around 10 sec and have fun!

When it claims you need to go back in and code new FA's, what are you actually looking for in each of the different ECUs?

Before when i put the car in sport mode and tried to deactivate the traction, it would kick it back to comfort

all good now with sport+

I myself love the shift paddles and use them frequently. I have a few complaints with them though.

If you don't have the shifter kicked over to M/S it will still upshift for you. Sometimes it upshifts for you at the same nanosecond you upshift, resulting in skipping 2nd gear and going to 3rd for example... this has happened a number of times and its annoying because 1--->3 is slooow.

The other thing is that when you're negotiating a tight turn, or sliding with some opposite lock its difficult to use the paddles as your hands aren't likely to be in the correct position.

As someone that has only ever owned manual vehicles in my life I have to admit the paddles make an automatic car at least a little fun. Before I coded 2TB and added the paddles spirited driving was kinda lacking any excitement.

Yes, once you have complete the first step of adding 2TB in VO, removing 205 in VO and saved new FA, go back to each of these 4 ECU folders under the coding menu in E-Sys and right click and code, do not right click on the under laying CAFD files. In my case i could only code 3 of the 4 ECU folders as one of the ecu folder didnt allow me to select "code" option.

Hello, I need help to activate sport+

I have a f10 2012 without paddle shiffers.

I code icm, kombi and egs.

I can see a sport+ on kombi but the car dont leave select it.

whats the problem?

Or is that part of the mechanical side of the gearbox?

No. Launch Control is in EGS, but 2TB will not automatically set LC to aktiv.

Does anyone have experience with this. I don't even have the rocker switch on my 2011 535 xdrive. I bought a superset one from ebay. Any help ? I'm new to BMW but not working on cars. I'd rather not do this myself. Thanks

Same specs as mine. I changed 205 to 2TB at one point, I believe. For me it changed DS to S1, S2, S3 and that might be about it. My transfer case was replaced under warranty and required coding and my 2TB (and all other coding) was lost. When I recoded I didn't both with 2TB.

I'm working on a retrofit to an LCI steering wheel with paddles so I will likely be putting 2TB back in to get the paddles to work.

I can't say I observed any different behaviour of the transmission in terms of shift points (i.e. what RPM shifts were performed) or shift program selection (i.e. what shift profile/program was used for shifts of various levels of aggressiveness).

[ After getting my M Performance Exhaust I became aware that there's three major shift programs/types - a slow and lazy automatic shift, a faster shift that sounds almost like a manual transmission and a DCT-style "brap" shift. I sure wouldn't mind if I could code a preference for more aggressive shift programs in general. ]

Any clue what to code when adding a rocker switch with comfort/sport option into 07.2011 f10 535i without 2TB. What about wiring and socket plug? Any DIY?

I have found an easy way to code sport transmission. BimmerCode has added it. After getting my car ungraded to the latest iStep last week at the dealer I was recoding the car to my preferences and noticed they’d added transmission coding. Love the faster shifts paired with MHD stage 2.

The traction struggle is real....

I noticed absolutely no difference in behaviour on my 205-equipped 2011 535xi after coding to 2TB. When I first did it, I actually reversed it since it didn't do anything for me. I put it back when I retrofitted paddles late last fall and 2TB was part of the equation to get them to work. Note that I don't have a COMFORT/SPORT switch either.

As part of other warranty work I also got taken from a 2015-era istep to the latest in February and I noticed some changes in 1-2 and 2-3 shifts when really on it (i.e. the most aggressive shift program). When I refit my M PE for the summer I'll be listening to the sound of those shifts to see if I can further tell what's changed.

Can anyone help me out here?

I have coded the following via Bimmercode:
ICM/3000 ICMKOD_B_SPORTLENKUNG nicht_aktiv ===> aktiv
KOMBI/3000 FDS_MENUE_TEXT_1/2/3/4 menue_4 ===> menue_3
KOMBI/3000 FDS_MENUE_SIGNAL_1/2/3/4 menue_4 ===> menue_3
EGS/3000 Applikation -> Sportschalter_alt -> aktiv
EGS/3000 Applikation -> Sportschalter -> aktiv
EGS/3000 Applikation -> LC -> aktiv

SAT is enabled and working fine. I can see Sport+ when I hit the rocker switch, but I can't actually select it. The highest I can go is Sport. When I try to switch up to Sport+, nothing happens.

Did I possibly overlook something?
