The refs made 2 bad calls one on each team, awful for a super bowl. Lot of credit to Kupp, Staford, Miller and especially Donald, class act and a real beast. The Rams should have got the ball to Kup a lot more often then they did, that jet sweep on 4th down was the play of the game.

That missed call on Higgins 75 yard TD was oof. There was no mistaking that penalty. Ever though I don't think I've ever seen offensive face mask before lol.

That was a brutal loss for the Bengals but they had many opportunities to close this game out but give credit to the Rams defense and making the plays down the stretch that the Bengals couldn’t make. Stafford officially locked his spot in Canton and OBJ played great until that awful injury and believe it or not I felt bad for that bozo.

Now, can August come soon already? In the meantime, someone should start a 2022-2023 NFL thread and expect the usually suspects claiming how the Cowboys are the best since sliced bread, Mahomes got robbed of a Super Bowl trip, how Seattle should have ran it in, etc… Which reminds me, TheWatchGuy, where have you’ve been? We still love you man! Looking forward to your Cowboys predictions and the rest of the NFC Least.

Yep, no more football and baseball appears to be going nowhere. I also saw an ad on Amazon that claims Amazon Prime will be the exclusive venue for Thursday Night Football next season. I wonder if that will hold.

Sucks that TB is finally out of it. I thought he had a few more years in him, especially as he was playing lights out basically. If it was not for injuries and AB I think the Buccs would have made it to the SB and had a decent chance of winning. Losing two HF receivers does not make it easy in the playoffs.

Here is to 2022 and more shit talking!

You know things are bad when the only sports available will likely be the XFL or whatever they call it.

Well Brady did kind of leave the door slightly open, however, Tompa Bay needs to move on and can’t rely on that happening. The following teams IMHO are certainly in the QB market:

Eagles - 3 first rounders and a questionable QB
Falcons - do they move on from Matt Ryan?
WFT/Commanders - Heineken? Does FitzMagic return?
Panthers - no QB, do they make a play for Wentz/Jimmy G?
Tompa - Aaron Rodgers, a reunion with Winston, Wentz/Jimmy G?
Texans - see Tompa but what’s going on with these lawsuits against Deshaun?
Broncos - see Tompa
Packers - I guess we’ll find out soon what he Rodgers wants
Colts - they’ll look to move on from Wentz but who’ll they replace him with?
Steelers - Rudolph and Haskins aren’t the answer. See Tompa
Giants - stuck with Jones for God knows how long.
Titans - I could see them moving on from Tannehill as they aren’t going to win with him at the helm. Rodgers/Jimmy G/Wentz?
Arizona - someone needs to give Murray some pills and pipe down.
Seattle - think they’ll keep RW.
Vikings - Cousins returns IMHO.
Saints - Winston? Do they talk Rivers out of retirement?

If I was TB I'd just move around to the next stacked team and take Gronk with me. There are plenty of teams that need a good QB as pointed out above. I heard Tampa has salary cap issues in 2022 not that I have paid attention. I doubt TB wants to wait around for 'rebuilding years' as they call it.

In the NFL and especially because of the salary cap you are not supposed to be able to be good each each. It should ebb and flow, if you will, as team come up against salary cap issues etc.

I think we will see a lot of SHITTY QB play next year. But I think TB is done. I wish is was not true as it's awesome to watch the GOAT even if playing for another team but I think his wife is done.

Most of the playoff games to the Superbowl have been great to watch. I can't recall a year with so many competitive tight games which could have swung either way.

I was at the Star in Frisco watching the SB at their Private Club. It was a really good game. Which is all anyone can ask for.
As far as my Cowboys...

No ring for them until:

Accountability.
O Line needs significant changes.
Dak becomes a leader of Men.
Dak gets his mental time/throw clock working.
Jerry relenquishes some if not most of management control.

But.... I'm still DC4L!!!! And they still are the MVT in all of professional sports for a reason....

Burrow is good but not great yet. Great is getting his team to at least w/i FG range w the best kicker in Yankee football or icing it w a walkoff TD. Like someone else said, that 2nd & 1 play, poorly executed....supposedly it was a 'trick' play but obviously they couldn't execute as shown previously in the game, so just KISS! I also disagree w their last play being shotgun, at least feign you could run it. Just awful playcalls/execution. Stick w traditional plays if one doesn't have what it takes to do it right (ask Pete Carroll).

The refs kinda ruined the game w the missed facemask and tried to make up for it w ticky-tack calls to aid the Rams in their last drive.

AD killed it in the last 2 plays of the game...and doing his best Beyonce impression 'put a ring on it'

Re bold, felt bad for OBJ too, he looked so helpless and obviously was doing great before getting hurt, maybe even vying for the MVP if not injured; would've sucked for him if they lost. Anyway, he got too cocky w the moondance and the football gods decided to humble him.

You gotta give credit where credit is due. Moonwalking is difficult as all hell let alone on Astro turf wearing cleats.

You're right about that. Who knows if it triggered something? That was a freak accident.

It's Astro turf. It's been the killer of acl's and knees forever now. It's why players all publicly fight against the use of AstroTurf. It's just cheaper and easier to maintain is all lol.

I like how the Cardinals do it. That field rolls outside to get plenty of sunlight in between games and events. Real grass obviously.

5+ billion for a stadium and it has no AC, heating and fake grass basically.

True, but where did he do his moondance? On astro turf, so he made it even worse increasing the risk
